Dreams About My Uncle Floyd

The week before the memorial service, my sister Dianna had the following dream.

I dreampt that I was in a place that reminded me of the West Bay Church because it was circular seating.   There was a large group of native people there that I didn't recognize.   My Uncle Floyd was seated in a big chair alone.   He was dressed very nice, clean shaven, his hair dark with very little gray.   I spoke to my Uncle Floyd and told him that I"m sorry you had to leave the way you did.   I told him, "I love you and that I will miss you".   My Uncle Floyd acknowledged what I said by nodding his head.

On the weekend before the Memorial Serivce, my sister had another dream.

I dressed up Ma, (my grandmother Alice) and she asked me how to do the Charleston dance.  Ma said, I forgot how to do the Charleston.    Surprised to hear her say that,  I said, "Ma how could you forget, you are the one who taught me how to do the Charleston."   Then I started to dance and Ma got behind me and hung on to my waste to follow me and dance the same way I did.   I told her don't forget to swing your arms.   So there we were dancing the Charleston together.     I knew when I woke up from my dream that my grandmother Alice was very happy that I would have a mass and Native memorial servcie for my Uncle Floyd.

Whenever my grandmother Alice was in a good mood she would always dance.   She could step dance and do the Charleston, a dance from the 20's.   She was very good at it.

On December 7, 2012, the day before the Memorial Servive, my Niece Michelle had the following dream and sent me the following text.

"I fell asleep on the couch just now.  I dreampt the doorbell rang and it was our Denise and I didn't want to get the door because I'm in pjs and a robe.   I could see someone in a chair near the door so I said you get the door.   When I saw the face it was Grandma Alice waitng for the guest to come.   So I had to open the door.
